Woodmizer Jig for Sawing Curved Logs
This jig was made for sawing logs with crooks or forks that are too wide to fit through the throat of the Woodmizer bandsaw. The jig clamps into the carriage and can be swiveled as the saw head passes along the carriage, thus keeping the body of the log within the throat.
It was inspired after sawing forked boards for the sculpture pictured above with a makeshift chainsaw mill. Mountain Man with Raven
This is around the third iteration of this jig. Like any work in progress there are several modifications that could be made to make it easier to use and more stable.
