Description

Growing up in Fairbanks, Alaska, we used to collect prehistoric bones along the banks of Gold Stream near our home.

I’ve always loved the form of bones and the inspiration for this small bronze sculpture came from a fragment of a mammoth pelvic bone we were given.

I added the small alabaster orb for a moon. It recalls our primordial memories of a pale moon rising across our doorsteps. I’d love to make it on a monumental sculpture as well and welcome commissions to do so.

Bronze is 5.5” H, 10.6″ H on a walnut base
Edition of 120
